This Asthma Week, we're shining a light on asthma awareness and the importance of understanding and managing your symptoms.
š” This year's theme: Shining a Light on Women and Asthma
Asthma can affect people differently throughout their lives. For women, hormonal changes during puberty, pregnancy and menopause may influence asthma symptoms and control.
š« If you have asthma, now is a great time to:
āļø Review your asthma symptoms and control
āļø Check that your medications and prescriptions are up to date
āļø Make sure you're using your puffer/inhaler correctly
āļø Review or update your Asthma Action Plan with your GP
š Need help using your puffer?
Our Clinical PharmacistĀ is also available at the practice and can provide support and guidance to help you understand your asthma medications and ensure you're using your inhaler correctly.
Sometimes a simple check of your inhaler technique can make a big difference in how effectively your medication works.
š Due for an asthma review or need help with your inhaler technique? Contact Glenorie District Medical Centre to book an appointment.
