Blood collection test
We offer general health checks and tests, including pregnancy and genetic tests. For tests such as blood sugar (BSL), cholesterol, or specialized tests like homocysteine, metanephrines, and normetanephrines, patients should fast for 8–12 hours (no longer than 15 hours). During fasting, avoid food, coffee, and tea — water only.

Special tests
We also offer specialised testing, including commercial tests, blood collection for Nutripath, and water testing. These tests may have specific requirements, so please speak with our reception team for full details and instructions.

Urea breath test
This test detects H. pylori in the stomach by measuring carbon dioxide in your breath after swallowing a capsule of harmless, low-level radio-labelled urea.

Fast for 6 hours or overnight (water only, you may brush your teeth). With your doctor’s approval, pause antibiotics, bismuth compounds, proton pump inhibitors, or H2 blockers as recommended. Do not stop any medication without consulting your doctor.

Holter monitoring
A Holter monitor is a small device worn for 24 hours to record your heart’s activity. The device must stay dry, so please shower beforehand and avoid using lotions, oils, or powders on your skin.
For comfort, wear a loose-fitting shirt. Mobile phones can be used but should not be carried close to the monitor, as this may interfere with the reading. CT or MRI scans cannot be performed while wearing the device.

Oral glucose tolerance test
For a 2-hour glucose tolerance test, fasting is required. Eating a high-carbohydrate diet (bread, cereal, potatoes, vegetables, fruit) for 3 days before the test is recommended, except for pregnant patients. You will remain in the clinic, drink a glucose solution, and have blood collected at intervals.
We also perform other non-blood tests, including urine, faeces, sputum, and swabs.

24 hour ambulatory blood pressure monitoring
A blood pressure monitor is worn for 24 hours to record your blood pressure and heart rate at set intervals. The device must stay dry, so please shower beforehand and avoid using lotions, oils, or powders on your skin.
For comfort, wear a loose-fitting shirt. The monitor is lightweight and designed to help your doctor better understand your condition.
