Glenorie District Medical Centre

have been an established medical centre for many years, providing a high standard of ethical service and patient treatment. Our team of highly qualified General Practitioners and Medical Specialists set us apart in the industry.

Our practice is an Accredited Practice, which is achieved through a process of various assessments conducted by third parties on behalf of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners. This process ensures we maintain a high standard of medical care, skilled staff, smooth organisation and appropriate, well maintained equipment. Everyone here has qualified for Vocational Registration by the Health Insurance Commission and take part in further medical studies on a regular basis.

Debbie Henderson

Clinical Psychologist
(Mondays 4:30 to 6:30 pm; Wednesdays 8:30 am to 1 pm)

Debbie is a friendly, caring clinical psychologist who has almost 20 years experience working with children, adolescents and adults. She uses CBT, IPT, ACT and Schema Therapy and to help her clients reach their goals.

She is able to treat mood disorders (Major Depression, Adjustment Disorder), anxiety disorders including phobias and social anxiety, trauma, eating disorders, and behavioural issues including ADHD and anger management.

Michael O’Hara

Psychologist
Tuesday 4pm-7pm, Thursday 4pm – 7pm.

Michael is a registered psychologist with AHPRA and brings his life experience as a psychologist, school counsellor, physical education teacher and parent to his practice. Michael has experience working with children, adolescents and adults and has a passion for psychological practice to achieve a positive outcome for both the individual and family.

Michael uses CBT, IPT and ACT and specialises in: Children and Adolescent Therapy, Adult and Family Therapy and Psychometric Assessment. Michael assists clients with depression, anxiety, stress, sleep concerns, anger management, behavioural issues, family issues and men’s health.

Eva Xie

Pathology Collector
Collection Centre open Monday to Friday 8 – 2pm

I am a Senior Pathology collector at Douglass Hanly Moir Pathology (DHM). I completed my Certificate III of Pathology Collection and training at DHM. I have been working at Glenorie District Medical Centre since January 2018 and I find it a pleasure to work in due to the friendly staff and patients. I am experienced at difficult collections and complicated tests.

Kellie Millard

Dietitian 

With over 25 years experience in Clinical Dietetics
and medical research Kellie was awarded her
PhD from the faculty of Medicine, The University of
Sydney in 2013 in the area around the role of
vitamin D in metabolic disease and cancer after
which she undertook a Postdoctoral Research
Fellowship at NICM Health Research Institute.
As a spokesperson for the Dietitians association of
Australia from 2014-2019 Kellie regularly appeared
in the media.
Throughout her career Kellie has maintained a
role in Private Practice where she has a special
interest in weight loss, bariatric surgery, food
allergy, diabetes, cancer and food allergy and
intolerance.

 

 

Tracey Fleischner

Podiatrist
Alternate Mondays 8 –12pm

I am a Podiatrist who cares about your feet and keeping you on them! I have been practicing for over 20 years and have experience in all areas of Podiatry including general care (corns, callouses and toe nails) and biomechanics (orthortics).

I welcome patients with EPC referrals and those covered by DVA as well as private patients.

Brian Tran

Physiotherapist / Chiropractor

Brian has spent over 9 years of university training to be one of the few dual qualified Physiotherapists and Chiropractors in Australia. He is a caring clinician who has a special interest in complex spinal (lower back and neck), shoulder, foot, workplace injuries, and vestibular disorders (BPPV).

These complex conditions are always unique, with many factors contributing to them, which benefit from a holistic approach to management. With this, he often works closely together with the dietitians, psychologists, exercise physiologists, and podiatrists to achieve the best possible outcome.

Recently, Brian has chosen to continue his studies at La Trobe University, in the Masters of Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy to even further expand his knowledge and skills to serve the community.

Alex Fielding

Physiotherapist / Chiropractor

Alex has spent over 8 years of university training to be one of the few dual qualified Physiotherapists and
Chiropractors in Australia. Currently Alex is the Physiotherapist for NSW Hockey’s U/18 Blues men’s team and head physiotherapist for NSW Lacrosse. He has also worked with various other sporting clubs and teams including most recently the Canberra Raiders in 2018 pre-season.

Alex takes an evidence based holistic approach to patient care incorporating the latest research to ensure
his patients received the highest quality of care available.

Jennifer Bennett

Accredited Exercise Physiologist

Jennifer completed her Bachelor of Clinical Exercise Physiology at the University of Sydney and since graduating, has worked in numerous private practice settings helping people with health conditions by prescribing them with individualised exercise programs. This includes programs to help people manage chronic musculoskeletal pain, arthritis, diabetes, osteoporosis, cancer, cardio-metabolic (hypertension and hyperlipidaemia), weight loss, falls prevention, and general fitness programs.

Jennifer also is well experienced in managing complex workers compensation and compulsory third party insurance claims which require increasing their functional capacity through structured and supervised rehabilitation.

Being a soccer player, she has a special interest in working with athletes at all levels with their rehabilitation from injury, as well as strengthening and conditioning to make sure they are performing at their best.

Adam van der Wielen

Physiotherapist

Adam has spent 6 years undertaking university training in Exercise and Sport Science as well as Physiotherapy and has developed a keen interest in patients who suffer from musculoskeletal pain and sporting injuries.

Adam has been developing his acute and end stage rehabilitation skills in the last year working with professional and semi-professional athletes. This has been part of his work with the NRL high performance team as well as part of a high performance and rehabilitation team under The GWS Giants athletic performance physiotherapist.

Adam has a keen interest in the assessment and treatment of sports and work-related injuries, and more specifically, those to the shoulder, knee, back and tendons throughout the body. He understands that different people have different goals and finds that communication and joint decision making is key to achieving these goals.

Tegan Reed

Dietitian

I graduated with a Master of Nutrition and Dietetics from the University of Sydney. My areas of interest are sports nutrition, paediatrics, disordered eating and overall nutritious eating.
I understand that each individual is unique, with distinct nutritional needs, preferences, and lifestyles. In a world where quick fixes and one-size-fits-all approaches dominate, I strive to tailor nutrition guidance to the specific needs of my clients.

I actively seek to stay updated on the latest research and trends in nutrition. I believe in lifelong learning, and am committed to refining my skills through evidence-based nutrition.
